About Me
My name is Andy Holloway. I have been interested in public history and archaeology since I first visited Colonial Williamsburg, VA as a child. Since then I have worked as a museum curator, historian, researcher, public interpreter and historic archaeologist. I received my B.A. in history from the College of Charleston in 2013 and my M.A. in Anthropology from East Carolina University in 2017 after a two years off working as a contract archaeologist.

As an archaeologist, I work mostly in the Carolinas and Virginia for numerous sites including Jamestown Island, Colonial Williamsburg, Warwicktowne (Newport News), Downtown Charleston, and Brunswick Town in North Carolina. My experience also includes surveys and testing in accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.

From the very beginning, my intent has been to reach the public with my work in order to inspire and teach non-professionals the importance of history and archaeology.
